ROYAL HAWAIIAN CENTER RINGS IN 2022 WITH RETURN OF LUCKY BAG

Great deals from participating merchants on Jan. 1 and 2, 2022

Waikīkī (December 22, 2021) – Looking for luck in the New Year? Then head over to Royal Hawaiian Center for its annual Lucky Bag promotion on January 1 and 2, 2022. This Japanese retail tradition offers shoppers the unique opportunity to enjoy significant discounts on “lucky bags” sold for half of their retail value. This year features dozens of participating merchants and restaurants, including Dean & DeLuca, Jimmy Choo, Kira x Miffy, Oiwi Ocean Gear, Tim Ho Wan, and more.

Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day at The Royal Grove with a Japanese drum performance by Kenny Endo’s Taiko Center of the Pacific. Participating merchants and restaurants will begin selling Lucky Bags at 10 a.m. Quantities are limited, so all are encouraged to arrive early on the first day of 2022 to participate in this annual tradition.

“This is a shopping tradition we look forward to all year long and many of our merchants plan their Lucky Bags well in advance, setting aside some of their most popular merchandise just for this weekend,” said Nani Hanus, Marketing Manager for Royal Hawaiian Center. “No matter where you shop, you’re guaranteed to receive items that are worth up to double of what you paid.”

Additionally with each lucky bag purchase, shoppers can also enter to win a Waikīkī staycation valued at over $1,500. Receipts from Lucky Bag purchases can be redeemed at Helumoa Hale from January 1 at 10:00 a.m. until 8 p.m. on January 2. One Lucky Bag is one entry, and the winner will be announced on January 3.
