Annual festivities to be broadcast on Facebook Live

Waikīkī – Royal Hawaiian Center’s annual celebration to kick-off the holiday season goes global for 2020! This Thanksgiving Eve tradition will be streamed live on Royal Hawaiian Center’s Facebook page and will feature live entertainment and lighting the 34-foot Hawaiian Christmas tree with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Join on Wednesday, November 25, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time to enjoy the festivities.
“We’re excited to bring Royal Hawaiian Center’s holiday spirit to anyone anywhere around the world this year on Facebook.,” said Sam Shenkus, Vice President, Director of Marketing, at Royal Hawaiian Center. “We’ll also have family events and promotions all season long for our guests to enjoy, including three free hours of parking with any purchase.”
The evening will feature live Hawaiian entertainment courtesy of Malu Productions and hula performances. Santa will join from his North Pole workshop for a virtual visit to lead the countdown to the lighting of the Center’s 34-foot Hawaiian Christmas tree that features beautiful palaka décor, glittered mesh plumeria, red anthuriums, monstera leaf designs and more. The night will conclude with more live Hawaiian music and a “snowfall” of local flowers at The Royal Grove.
Follow Royal Hawaiian Center on Instagram to enter the Holiday Kick-off sweepstakes. Three lucky followers will each win a $100 Royal Hawaiian Center gift card. Winners will be announced during the Facebook live event.
Guests are invited to take FREE socially-distanced photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at a special holiday window located across from the Cheesecake Factory on Level 1 of Building C, using their own camera, smart phone or other digital device, on Royal Santa Saturdays, Dec. 5, 9, and 12 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. No reservations are required.
Royal Hawaiian Center is also spreading good cheer by offering an exclusive free holiday gift with purchase. From November 27, 2020 through January 4, 2021, guests who present $250 in combined receipts will receive a special limited-edition item.
