WHAT: Royal Hawaiian Center 2020 Fukubukuro Event. Royal Hawaiian Center is bringing luck and good fortune to shoppers in the New Year with its annual Fukubukuro promotion. The Japanese retail tradition is one that shoppers look forward to all year long, offering significant discounts on “lucky bags” sold for at least half of their retail value. This year features over 30 participating stores and restaurants
The annual tradition begins at 9:30 a.m. in The Royal Grove with a taiko drum performance by Kenny Endo. Participating stores and restaurants will begin selling Fukubukuro bags at 10 a.m.
