ROYAL HAWAIIAN CENTER LAUNCHES ROYAL SUNDAY MARKET

Inaugural event set for Sunday, June 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Waikīkī – Sunday mornings are getting extra special at Royal Hawaiian Center with the new Royal Sunday Market. On June 28 and July 5, guests are invited to shop the array of locally-made specialty products from participating vendors at The Royal Grove from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

“The Royal Sunday Market is a great opportunity for guests to discover the talents of island entrepreneurs and the inspiration behind their crafts,” said Monte McComber, Cultural Director at Royal Hawaiian Center. “We’re proud to support our island-based small businesses, as well as have kama‘āina reconnect with the unique sense of place Hawaiʻi has to offer. The Royal Sunday Market also coincides with the City’s Open Street Sunday initiative for locals to enjoy Kalākaua Avenue free of motorized vehicles, so it’s a perfect day to come re-experience Waikīkī.”

While specific vendors may vary on each Sunday, the assortment of items availalbe will include hand-crafted jewelry, handmade soaps, gourmet packaged foods, artwork, and more.

To show its appreciation for kama‘āina, the Center is offering 3 hours of free validated parking for guests with any purchase from any Royal Hawaiian Center store or restaurant through July 31, 2020.
