ROYAL HAWAIIAN CENTER HOSTS LĀ KEIKI DAY

Waikīkī – Royal Hawaiian Center celebrates keiki from around the world with Lā Keiki Day, a Girl’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Families are invited to visit The Royal Grove and Helumoa Hale for games, keiki activities, live entertainment, and special appearances by some of today’s most popular movie characters. 

From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Lā Keiki Day will feature fun keiki games, hands-on cultural activities led by Kaimuki High School’s Hospitality Academy, and live entertainment from a variety of acts. At 11:00 a.m., special guests from Storybook Entertainment Hawaii will make a highly anticipated appearance for free photos in The Royal Grove.

Keiki games 

Laʻi ti-leaf bracelet making, etching sheets, and construction of paper frames

Performance by the Tonga Sisters

Balloon art with Balloon Monsoon

11:00 a.m.

Storybook Entertainment Hawaii special guest appearance

Performance by JUKE 

In addition to Lā Keiki Day, a special Royal ʻĀina Market featuring locally made and designed products will be held at The Royal Grove from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will also be ongoing live entertainment with Chigasaki Hula Festival performances from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. and hula kahiko by Hālau Hula O Maiki from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

For guests’ convenience, Royal Hawaiian Center offers valet parking Friday – Sunday nights from 5:00 – 11:00 p.m. and on major holidays (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day) from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Vehicle drop-off is located adjacent to the entrance to the Center’s parking garage on the corner of Royal Hawaiian Avenue and Don Ho Lane. Valet parking is $9 for the first 5 hours; standard rates apply thereafter.
