Trollbeads started life as 'Troldekugler' in 1976 in a small jeweler's store in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company is owned and operated by a very imaginative and creative family. The first quirky little beads were designed by silversmith Søren Nielsen, Lise Aagaard's brother; until 2000 every design came from a family member. Troll fever has spread rapidly throughout the world and today Trollbeads can be found in more than 50 countries. The Troll Family has grown to include almost 50 internationally recognized designers and over 600 beads - each with a unique design and story.
